JS Playlist #1: A music journey through the styles by Michal Zwolak

Lifestyle

Do you remember Michał? Coach, CKB Top Team member, Jetsnatch Ambassador, a man with a big heart supporting the less fortunate. Sure!

But most of all an unofficial world record holder in several disciplines. Michał has done the most swings in a row, the most burpees in 12 hours and is a man who proves that endurance does not exclude strength. And that kettlebells give a lot. 😉

When thinking about making Jetsnatch playlists we couldn’t help but start with him as the hero of the first episode. Imagine: you’ve been doing burpees for 8 hours straight. You have 4 more hours to go. What song in your headphones will help you get going? We had to ask Michal about it.

BTW: What is Jetsnatch Playlist?

It’s a list of songs chosen by our friends and heroes that inspire and drive us to be better. Every month, we will try to introduce you to another list prepared by another member of the Jetsnatch family. It’s going to be interesting, varied and certainly very entertaining!

Does and if so, how does music help you with your workout?
For me music is an important part of training but not a necessity. Sometimes when I want to cut off from my surroundings or I have an important task to do and I don’t want to be disturbed I put on my headphones but I can concentrate and do my workout without it

What music genre do you prefer for your train-day?
The music ranges from calm, romantic music to hard rock. It’s kinda weird but calm tracks often drive me stronger. You know, I have a romantic soul (laughs) 😁 .

Are there songs that you play to yourself during your workout that no one knows about?
I have tracks like that and it”s usually soundtracks from romantic movies 😁 seriously!

What’s THE SONG for the last set?
It depends but I think in 95% of the cases it would be something Guns and Roses, Linkin Park or Metallica. But if I had to pick one track it would be Guns and Roses “Dont damn me”, which is on my Jetsnatch playlist by the way.

These are the tracks that accompany me most often, but the list could be many times longer.
