News

Smart fitness is one of the fastest growing branches of the market in the world and yet, smartfit solution has not been available for- gaining more and more popularity- kettlebell training. The latest product introduced by Jetsnatch will enable selecting specific exercises and monitoring the quality of training and technique. Startup plans to launch a measuring device combined with a mobile app, that will help tracking of training progress, give access to ready-made workouts and enable more efficient and safer exercise.

The number of people using workout monitoring devices has grown significantly in recent years. The size of the global smart fitness market in 2020 was valued at $34.6 billion and is estimated to grow at an average annual rate of 18.9% between 2022 and 2028. Such projections are largely related to growing awareness of the importance of health and fitness, further compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic.
– Even before the lockdown, we saw an increase in the number of people exercising at home and taking part in online workouts. As a result of the pandemic, this trend has increased, and with it- the need to measure such training, track progress, check technique or take on challenges and share achievements within an online community” says Aleksandra Spychalska – Pastucha, CEO of Smart Kettlebell, owner of the Jetsnatch brand.

With such solution comes Jetsnatch, whose product is a worldwide innovation. Accurate analysis and evaluation of training, including measurement of the full range of motion of the kettlebell will be possible thanks to the data from IMU sensors used on a daily basis- such as the gyroscope or accelerometer. – Having information about the kettle’s position and movement, as well as the user’s height, we can verify the movement pattern for a given exercise and determine its correctness. With the app, the user will be able to plan a workout, control its quality and progress. It’s a bit like having a personal trainer at home- explains Aleksandra Spychalska – Pastucha
A sensor-integrated app will also be developed for fans of Kettlebell training as a part of the producy. The freemium version of the app, available on iOS and scheduled to be released in the second half of 2022, will allow users to use a database of workouts of different levels, monitor workouts and track progress, program their own workouts, and share their achievements on social media. A function for analyzing exercise technique will be made available with the launch of the sensor. In the next stages, a paid version of the app is also planned to be expanded with additional social and gamification features, an expanded database of workouts and the ability to compose comprehensive training plans.

Work on the Jetsnatch system is being carried out with the support of an investor. Prometeia Innovation Fund invested PLN 1 million in the company in March 2021. – Jetsnatch gained our interest from the beginning due to the high level of technological innovation of the proposed solution and the commercialization plan, which ultimately involves expansion into the US market,” says Pawel Skalecki, CEO of Prometeia Innovation Fund, -The size and projections of the market for kettlebells alone, which has nearly 14 million users in the United States alone, are also promising. We are convinced that this is a good investment for us and we are looking forward to getting the product to users- he adds.

The next key step for the start-up, therefore, will be the exit to the US market planned for the fourth quarter of this year. Preparations related to it are being carried out with the support of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and its representative offices in the US, as part of the Polish Technology Bridges program (Project co-financed from European Funds, Sub-measure 3.3.1 Polish Technology Bridges). The company received a grant for this purpose in the amount of PL 180 thousand – it will fund specialized consulting and marketing support, as well as information and promotional activities related to the entry into the US market.
